Yvonne Cox is a senior in Harp Performance studying with Dr. Michelle Gott at the University of Arizona. A versatile musician, Cox frequently enjoys playing a diverse range of musical styles including solo, orchestral, chamber and contemporary works. This past year, she had the honor of premiering Accumulations, a new work for solo harp by Hunter Somogie. She also recorded Night Time for violin and harp, by American composer Sebastian Currier, with Canadian violinist Marlena Pellegrino. Cox is currently the guest principal harpist with the Henderson Symphony Orchestra. In summer 2019, she attended the Miami Classical Music Festival, where she performed Dark Sisters by Nico Muhly, among other works. In Arizona, Yvonne plays with HarpFusion, Wind Ensemble, and the Arizona Symphony Orchestra. In 2020, she will perform Sur Incises by Pierre Boulez, with the faculty of the University of Arizona.
