Xiaodi Xu is a D.M.A. student in harp performance at the University of Arizona and the Graduate TA for HarpFusion. She received her B.M. and M.M. from Xi’an Conservatory of Music and the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music. A versatile musician, she enjoys playing in the genres of solo, orchestral, chamber and opera works. In 2019, she made her solo debut at Carnegie Hall as a winner of the American Protégé International Competition. She also performed with the White Mountain Symphony Orchestra as a winner of the 2019 Concerto Competition. In May 2019, Xiaodi performed as guest artist for the Viola Voice International Festival in Mexico City. Most recently, she performed “Songs of Love and Loss” by Richard Danielpour with Grammy award winning vocalist and actress Hila Plitmann for the Tucson Desert Song Festival. Upcoming performances include Sur Incises by Pierre Boulez, on a joint faculty and student recital at the University of Arizona.
