From classical to electric and ensemble music, Victoria Gonzalez is a versatile harpist pursuing a double major in Harp Performance and East Asian Studies with a Japanese Culture emphasis. Outside of HarpFusion, Victoria performs on an electric harp with the university’s electronic percussion group, CrossTALK, and also serves as the director of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Harp Choir, the ensemble where she began playing. During her time in Harp Choir, Victoria participated in numerous concerts and CD recordings, including Dr. Shana Mashego’s “The Hymn Project: Volume 1,” with HarpFusion. Her performance experience includes opening the Monsoon Collective art space in 2016, concerts with the Tucson Concert Band and Santa Cruz Summer Winds, a College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) conference tour with the University of Arizona Wind Ensemble, and performances of The Nutcracker with the Tucson Civic Orchestra. As an arranger, Victoria is particularly interested in arranging film scores for harp ensemble, and she hopes to publish collections of her work in the future.
